How do I sort my data?
Sorting the rows or columns
1. Select the table you want to sort.
2. If you want to sort the columns, click on one of the column headings.
3. Click DATA MANIPULATION > Rows/Columns > Sort
4. In the dropdown menu, select either Sort Labels - Ascending (e.g. A, B, C) or Sort Labels - Descending (e.g. C, B, A).
Sorting by statistic values
1. Select the table you want to sort.
2. Select the column heading that contains the values you want to sort the rows by.
3. Click DATA MANIPULATION > Rows/Columns > Sort
4. In the dropdown menu, select either Sort By Values - Ascending (e.g. 1, 2, 3) or Sort By Values - Descending (e.g. 3, 2, 1).
5. In the next dropdown menu, you are shown a list of all statistics. Normally you want to select the top statistic (e.g. %), because it is what is shown on your table. However you can also sort by a statistic which is not currently shown.
Sorting data on charts
Sorting can only be performed on tables. If you have a chart, you can easily switch it to a table, perform the manipulation, and then switch it back to a chart. Displayr will remember the data you have selected, and any manipulations you performed.
1. Select the chart you want to sort.
2. Click HOME > Tables > Table to convert to a table.
3. Perform the sort (see above sections for instructions).
4. Click HOME > Charts > Chart to convert back to a chart.
